- Use 25 gauge 5/8 inch needle on 5cc syringe.
- Pull back with some force, don't put air in the eye
- Look for some tissue, if vitreous comes, eye may flatten
- Can fill the eye with some saline and 30g if it flattens
- Remove tenons over injection site to prevent trapping cells
- Wash eye with saline after pulling out tissue
- Ensure the tumor cells are in transport media- small white floaters
- Place on Path specimen report that eye was punctured for cell culture
