Diamox (Acetazolamide) for Intracranial Hypertension
Dosing
Starting Dose: 15-25 mg/kg/day (divide BID to TID)
May be increased up to 100 mg/kg/day
Not to exceed 2g/day
May divide into BID or TID dosing

Metallic taste
SJS
Renal stones
Sickle cell crisis
SULFA allergy cross-reactivity
Aplastic anemia (idiosyncratic)
Decreased platelets
Hypokalemia / metabolic acidosis
Numbness / tingling fingers-toes-perioral

Decreased feeding
Wight loss
Lethargy
