About this Curriculum

  • Purpose: Provide residents and fellows practical education in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus
  • Outcome: Residents completing this course of study will be able to manage common problems. Fellows completing this course will be able to manage complex problems. This course supplements the 10 week clinical rotation for residents and the 12 month clinical fellowship at the University of Iowa Department of Ophthalmology.
  • Resources: Pre-recorded lectures, digital textbooks, journal articles, surgical outlines and instructional videos.
  • Formative Assessments: focused quizzes to aid self-assessment
  • Syllabus: This is a self-directed learning program however a guided outline is provided for both residents and fellows.
