Alexander's Law

  • Describes the gaze evoked increase in amplitude of nystagmus that occurs when looking in the direction of the fast phase of nystagmus (direction of saccadic movements).
  • This can occur in those with idiopathic nystagmus but especially in those with vestibular lesions.
